On Thursday, May 16, 2019 from 8:00 am to 3:30 pm, the DCSBDC will be hosting its Spring 2019 Small Business Summit at Howard University. The DCSBDC Spring Summit, will include select workshops that provide small businesses with immediate takeaways and call to action to improve their business bottom line. This year’s theme is “Preparing for Success…Building Wealth Through Your Business”, demonstrating a focus on the quantitative aspects of small business performance measurement and profitability. This Summit Series event will be held in partnership with the Small Business Majority (SBM) and the National Community Reinvestment Coalition (NCRC). We will also have an exhibitor area featuring public and private organizations that support small business, i.e., agencies, banks, professional services, etc. We are very excited to announce that our Keynote Speaker for the Summit will be Marcus Johnson, musician, entrepreneur, professor, author, and motivational speaker.

Lunch included in the registration fee for first 75 registrants who attend the Summit. ParkMobile metered parking is available at select meters on campus along 6th Street or on Girard Street (opposite the football field) diagonal to the School of Business or on Georgia Avenue or side streets. All day parking is available for $10 (cash) at the HU Visitor’s lot opposite the Howard Bookstore on Georgia Avenue (entrance on 8th). The School of Business is also accessible via metro rail Shaw-Howard station in conjunction with the Howard University shuttles (schedule at www.howardshuttle.com). The shuttles drops off opposite the School of Business in front of Cramton Auditorium.
