Wed 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM

Stress for small business owners can not only affect personal health but can also take a toll on the success of the business. The American Psychological Association estimates that the U.S. economy loses more than $500 billion due to workplace stress. The current challenges associated with the pandemic, evolving regulations, changing technology, and complex client and employee relationships, are just a few of the items a SMB owner must deal with, often daily. This workshop series will provide the small business owner participants with tools and techniques that can be employed at home or in the office to reduce and manage daily stress utilizing yoga and other proven techniques. It addresses the following topics: recognizing stress in our bodies, understanding its physiological response, stress managing techniques, and empowering perspectives and responses to stress. Participants are encouraged to participate in all four sessions for full benefit. Part 3 will begin with a very brief introduction and refresh of previous sessions and will teach skills and provide tools to manage stress, address the importance of empathy and connection to reduce stress and, present new data on the science of stress. Activities may include yoga, breathing techniques and a pen & paper exercise.
