The Limited Liability Company: What You Should Know Before You Set One Up

This workshop will discuss the considerations for business owners when selecting a business entity type including liability protection, tax treatment, operational factors, and governance requirements. We will focus our discussion on LLCs, which have become popular business entity type for small business owners, walk through the requirements and process of setting up an LLC, cover the advantages and disadvantages of LLCs, and explain ongoing obligations of maintaining your LLC. You’ll walk away from this workshop with a basic understanding of why an LLC may be a desirable entity type.
